Project Description
Northern Georgia is just a gorgeous area. Really had fun working on this one as the See Rock City crew set up a “Watch Us Paint” event that brought out the SRC media team, local media, bloggers, and friends to hang out, paint a few strokes and enjoy another gorgeous spring day.
The old barn as it stood when I got there. Love it when they are still in use like this but remain weathered and rustic.
Post prep work. Ready to paint.
Shot of the old barn behind the one I was working on. All original hand laid stone foundation.
Backside of the barn I was working on. A family of ground hogs was living under the side there. They would come out while I was up on the lift to eat clover right next to the lift.
A view from the top looking south.
Honeysuckle trees grew wild next to where I was working. Every time the wind would blow, it smelled divine.
This assassin bug kept hanging out on the display table so I finally had to relocate him.
As with every barn, you get cats. This litter made their way inside the owners gator and would not come out.
We finally lured them out with some milk…
Base paint of black completed.
Progress on the lettering with the Rock City crew in the background.
I let people come up and paint a bit on the lower letters. Everyone really got a kick out of lending a hand to help be a part of a barn repaint. Had a few potential assistants on my hands!
All done!
I love taking pictures of people taking pictures. LOL!
Part of the Rock City media crew admiring their work.
The property owner and their family. Again, just another great family. Really enjoyed meeting them and sharing stories with them during my visit.
