Project Description

A Vista View

When approached by the Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries to design something to wrap around the entire 150′ back wall of their warehouse where dozens of people work separating out countless clothing and media items, my immediate thought was to “bring the outside in”. Rather than looking at drab walls, let’s paint some rolling hills, clouds and trees to expand the area, giving the area a sense of openness and tranquility.

Goodwill workers helped paint the base sky and ground (blue and green) so all we had to do is come in and do all the detail work. Over 3 nights we painted in the details and finished everything up. I tapped into my inner Bob Ross painting in the little detailed forest areas. The final product looks great from any distance and I even got a round of applause from the workers when I came in to pick up our materials. Unneeded and unnecessary. It was our pleasure to do this and make this work area reflect the vibrance and joy of the people that work there.
